Jane Chisom's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

25-year old Nigerian Iriele Jane Chisom (2000) had a great game in the last round for Peal Queens and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
She had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while her team edged out Magic S. (#7, 5-7) 63-61. Peal Queens is placed at 5th position in Ugandan NBL. Peal Queens is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. Jane Chisom just recently signed at Peal Queens, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Iriele Jane Chisom averages this season 12.4ppg and 8.9rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Martha Yikiru of Nabisunsa Girls. She is a in her 3rd season at Nabisunsa. In the last game Yikiru recorded an impressive double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Nabisunsa lost that game 58-65 to the higher-ranked Tomahawks (#6, 6-7). Nabisunsa is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Nabisunsa managed to get this year. Yikiru is one of the most experienced players at Nabisunsa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Stella Lunkuse (G-1998) of UPDF Lady Tomahawks (#6). Lunkuse showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Tomahawks, leading her team to a 65-58 win against the lower-ranked Nabisunsa (#11, 2-9). The chances of Tomahawks ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Lunkuse could help Tomahawks to bring them higher in the standings. Lunkuse has a great season in Uganda. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (5th best) and assists with 3.8apg (9th best).
