This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Magic S. (5-7) to sixth ranked Peal Queens (6-6) 63-61 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Magic S.. Peal Queens forced 31 Magic S. turnovers. Strangely Magic S. outrebounded Peal Queens 55-41 including 24 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Peal Queens made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian Iriele Jane Chisom (-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Scovia Whitiny Akello contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Daphine Adong answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Magic S.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Peal Queens moved-up to fifth place. Magic S. at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with KIU Rangers.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Lady Jaguars (#1) and Lady Canons (#2). Lady Jaguars (11-1) won against visiting Lady Canons (11-3) 74-70. It was a great evening for the former international forward Sarah Ageno (176-1996) who led her team to a victory scoring 5 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Mercy Batamuliza helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Matrina Anyango responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Lady Canons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lady Jaguars have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-1 record. Lady Canons at the other side keep the second position with three games lost.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tomahawks. It was an exceptional evening for Zoe Atek who led the winners and scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Ruth Letaru came up with 4 points and 11 rebounds for Tomahawks in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lady Canons maintains second place with 11-3 record having just two point less than leader Lady Jaguars. Loser Tomahawks dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost.

In the last two games of round 19 Miracle was beaten by Angels on the road 53-50. Tomahawks won against Nabisunsa on its own court 65-58.

Angels - Miracle 53-50

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Angels (2-10) edged 10th ranked Miracle (3-9) in Kampala 53-50 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Joan Namatovu (-1999) who led the winners and scored 17 points. Rebecca Namatovu accounted for 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Linda Nakalembe added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Miracle in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Angels maintains twelfth place with 2-10 record. Loser Miracle keeps the tenth position with nine games lost.

Tomahawks - Nabisunsa 65-58

Very expected game when 11th ranked Nabisunsa (2-9) lost to fifth ranked Tomahawks (6-7) in Kampala 58-65 on Saturday. Tomahawks dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Nabisunsa's 26. They outrebounded Nabisunsa 59-37 including a 25-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Ruth Letaru (-1997) accounted for 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Tomahawks' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mpoza Abigail (-2007) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Martha Yikiru added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Nabisunsa in the defeat. Four Nabisunsa players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Tomahawks went down to sixth position due to points difference. Loser Nabisunsa keeps the eleventh place with nine games lost.
