Peter Akok's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Peter Akok had an amazing evening in the last round for UPDF Tomahawks and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He recorded a triple-double of 17 points adding also 15 rebounds and 12 assists, while his team crushed Kampala R. (#12, 2-10) with 22-point margin 92-70. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. UPDF maintains the 9th position in Ugandan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 8 games and recorded just three victories. Akok just recently signed at UPDF, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Akok has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 8.7rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Flore Dushime of UCU Canons Kampala. He is a in his first season at UCU Canons. In the last game Dushime recorded an impressive 26 points and 8 rebounds. It was enough for UCU Canons to edge the higher-ranked Rezlife S. (#3, 9-4) by 4 points 69-65. UCU Canons' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dushime is a newcomer at UCU Canons and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to Francis Kasinde of Kampala Rockets (#12). Kasinde scored 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Kasinde's great performance the Kampala R. lost 70-92 to the higher-ranked UPDF (#9, 3-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kampala R. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-10 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Kasinde has a very solid season. In 10 games in Uganda he scored 8.9ppg.
