What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: Tomahawks (#7) and Lady Dolphins (#4). Lady Dolphins were smashed at home by 17 points 55-72 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Tomahawks held Lady Dolphins to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Lady Dolphins 58-41 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tomahawks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Ruth Letaru (-1997) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Tomahawks' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tamasha Nsubuga who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds. Tomahawks (5-6) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Magic S. Defending champion Lady Dolphins keep the fourth position with three games lost.
Angels can celebrate finally their first win this season after nine consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Kampala, where they edged Nabisunsa (1-8) 73-72. It was a good game for Joan Namatovu (-1999) who saved her team from a defeat with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Rebecca Namatovu contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Auma Joy replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for Nabisunsa. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Angels maintains twelfth position with 1-9 record. It was Nabisunsa's eighth loss in a row. They keep the eleventh place with eight games lost.
