Wanyoto's 14 points and 9 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

Arthur Wanyoto put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Namuwongo Blazers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had the game-high 14 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Blazers in his team's victory, helping them to outclass UPDF (#12, 1-8) with 38-point margin 106-68. Blazers maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan league. They are still close to the very top. Blazers would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. It's Wanyoto's second year at Blazers and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Arthur Wanyoto averages this season 8.0ppg and 6.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Joshua Duallo (1998) of UMU Flames. He is a in his first season at UMU. In the last game Duallo recorded an impressive double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as UMU lost that game 59-69 to league's leader City Oilers (#1, 8-0). Despite lost game UMU moved up to 10th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories UMU managed to get this year. Duallo is one of the most experienced players at UMU and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Jimmy Otim (1999) of UCU Canons Kampala (#7). Otim scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Otim's great performance the UCU Canons lost 61-73 to the higher-ranked Rezlife S. (#3, 7-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing UCU Canons needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Otim has a great season in Uganda. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.6ppg (7th best). He also has a FGP of 52.6% and 3PT: 46.9%.
