Imanishimwe number one in Uganda NBL for round 17

International Guard Ritah Imanishimwe (173-G-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, four rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Peal Queens (#5, 5-5) with 30-point margin 74-44. Lady Dolphins maintains the 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Lady Dolphins would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. Imanishimwe has many years of experience at Lady Dolphins, through which she has constantly improved. Ritah Imanishimwe has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.6ppg) and averages impressive 3.9spg.

The second best player in last round's games was Daphine Adong (F) of Magic Stormers Kampala. Adong had a very good evening with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course she led Magic S. to another comfortable win outscoring Angels (#12, 0-9) 67-47. This victory allowed Magic S. to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Adong is one of the most experienced players at Magic S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Susan Aanyu (G-1992) of KCCA Leopards (#3). Aanyu scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of KCCA Leopards, leading her team to a 78-48 easy win against Angels (#12, 0-9). KCCA Leopards is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 9-2 record is not that bad... Aanyu has a very solid season. In 11 games in Uganda she scored 11.5ppg.

8. Akello Winnifred (G-2001) of Miracle - 13 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Cindealla Anena) of KIU Rangers - 13 points and 9 rebounds
10. Ornela Sekuye) of Magic S. - 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
