Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: KCCA Leopards (#3) and KIU Rangers (#6). KIU Rangers were crushed at home by 21 points 51-72 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. KCCA Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to KIU Rangers' 20. KCCA Leopards forced 20 KIU Rangers turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. KCCA Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Burundian guard Ninette Uwineza (-1988) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Tracy Namugosa (170-2000) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Cindealla Anena answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds for KIU Rangers. KCCA Leopards (9-2) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lady Canons. KIU Rangers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with She Crocs.

KIU Rangers were crushed at home by 21 points 47-68 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The former international guard Ritah Imanishimwe (173-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Tamasha Nsubuga chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The former international forward Sharon Nangobi (170-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds. KIU Rangers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Lady Dolphins. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 8-1 record. KIU Rangers lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with She Crocs.
Bottom-ranked Angels is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Angels' coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for KCCA Leopards. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lady Canons. Angels lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: KIU Rangers were beaten by Miracle on the road 52-40. Winless Angels were destroyed by Magic S. on its own court 47-67. Lady Dolphins outscored Peal Queens in Kampala 74-44. Lady Canons rolled over Nabisunsa at home 80-46. Miracle was defeated by Magic S. on the opponent's court 68-52.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals by Ornela Sekuye of Magic S..

Miracle - KIU Rangers 52-40

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Miracle (3-8) beat higher ranked KIU Rangers (4-7) in Kampala 52-40 on Sunday. Miracle held KIU Rangers to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 25.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Miracle forced 21 KIU Rangers turnovers. Guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Isabella Namugabo accounted for 9 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Sharon Nangobi (170-1996) came up with 5 points and 14 rebounds and guard Ines Kanyamunza added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KIU Rangers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Miracle maintains tenth place with 3-8 record. KIU Rangers lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with She Crocs.

Bottom-ranked Angels is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to third ranked KCCA Leopards (9-2) 78-48 on Sunday evening. KCCA Leopards forced 19 Angels turnovers and outrebounded them 54-32 including a 40-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. KCCA Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Angels' players. The former international guard Tracy Namugosa (170-2000) nailed 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Susan Aanyu (-1992) accounted for 17 points and 14 rebounds.
