Experienced Moses Mugisha (C/F-1984) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Namuwongo Blazers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 41-year old had the game-high 21 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Blazers in his team's victory, helping them to crush Rezlife S. (#3, 5-2) with 17-point margin 73-56. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Blazers maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Blazers would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Mugisha had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Moses Mugisha averages this season 10.4ppg and 6.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Alier Jongroor of UCU Canons Kampala. Jongroor impressed basketball fans with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Of course he led UCU Canons to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#10, 2-7) 81-52. UCU Canons' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Jongroor is well-known by UCU Canons fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Livingstone Kimambo (188-G-2000) of KCCA Panthers (#4). Kimambo scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of KCCA P., leading his team to a 85-81 win against the lower-ranked UCU Canons (#7, 4-2). KCCA P. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Kimambo has a very solid season. In 9 games in Uganda he scored 4.6ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
