Agot Agot had an amazing evening in the last round for UMU Flames, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The player was the main contributor (32 points, five rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Kampala R. (#9, 2-5) 64-57. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. UMU maintains the 11th position in Ugandan NBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Agot had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at UMU, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Agot Agot has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 14.0ppg) and averages impressive 2.7spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of JT Jaguars BC. Sifuma had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Jaguars to another comfortable win 77-60 over the higher-ranked Victoria Crocs (#4, 5-4) being unquestionably team leader. Jaguars' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Sifuma is a newcomer at Jaguars, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Puati Kikomba (F/C) of Kampala Rockets (#9). Kikomba showcased his all-around game by recording 10 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Kikomba's great performance the Kampala R. lost 57-64 to slightly lower-ranked UMU (#11, 2-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kampala R. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Kikomba has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.6rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Joel Lukoji (PG-2001) of City Oilers - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
5. Joshua Duallo (1998) of UMU - 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Edrine Ekau (2006) of Rezlife S. - 24 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Micheal Otieno (193-G-1993) of Rezlife S. - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Peter Obleng (190-G-2003) of Blazers - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Cedric Alema) of Victoria Crocs - 15 points and 10 rebounds
10. Diaw Karabana (2003) of Sommet - 10 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
