Evelyn Nakiyinji gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL

Evelyn Nakiyinji had a very impressive game in the last round for Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The had a double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds, while her team outclassed She Crocs (#8, 4-6) with 27-point margin 80-53. Lady Dolphins maintains the 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Lady Dolphins would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Nakiyinji had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Lady Dolphins, through which she has constantly improved. Nakiyinji has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 13.7ppg) and averages solid 3.0spg and 54.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Sharon Nangobi (170-F-1996) of KIU Rangers. Nangobi impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for KIU Rangers to edge slightly lower-ranked Tomahawks (#7, 4-5) by 6 points 49-43. This victory allowed KIU Rangers to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Nangobi is a newcomer at KIU Rangers and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.6ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 11.6rpg and 3.8apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Lady Dolphins' star - international guard Ritah Imanishimwe (173-G-1996). Imanishimwe showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins, helping her team with a 80-53 easy win against the lower-ranked She Crocs (#8, 4-6). Lady Dolphins is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 6-1 record is not that bad... Imanishimwe has a very solid season. In 6 games in Uganda she scored 9.8ppg.
