NBL Round 15 (Regular Season): Derby game ends with Blazers' defeat of KCCA P.

The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: Blazers (#5) and KCCA P. (#7). Blazers (4-1) crushed visiting KCCA P. (3-4) by 19 points 71-52. Blazers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to KCCA P.'s 28. Blazers forced 26 KCCA P. turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Jimmy Enabu (187-1988) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Imran Samati answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for KCCA P.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blazers have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. KCCA P. at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Blazers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala JKL Dolphins.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: Kampala R. (#10) and UPDF (#11). Kampala R. (2-4) won against visiting UPDF (1-6) 64-58. It was a great evening for power forward Puati Kikomba who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Micheal Ssekibenga helped adding 7 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Benjamin Kyazze with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kampala R. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with JKL Dolphins. Newly promoted UPDF keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Kampala R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala .

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: Kampala R. (#10) and UPDF (#11). Kampala R. (2-4) won against visiting UPDF (1-6) 64-58. Kampala R. forced 27 UPDF turnovers. Strangely UPDF outrebounded Kampala R. 49-35 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for power forward Puati Kikomba who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Micheal Ssekibenga helped adding 7 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Benjamin Kyazze with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and Peter Akok scored 8 points and 9 rebounds.
