Ekone number one in Uganda NBL for round 13

International Guard Brenda Ekone (152-G-1996) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, two rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Angels (#12, 0-7) with 50-point margin 88-38. Lady Dolphins maintains the 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Lady Dolphins would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. Ekone has many years of experience at Lady Dolphins, through which she has constantly improved. Brenda Ekone has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.2ppg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 54.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Lady Dolphins' star - Evelyn Nakiyinji. Nakiyinji had a very good evening with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course together with Ekone she helped Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins with another comfortable win outscoring Angels (#12, 0-7) 88-38. Lady Dolphins' 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Nakiyinji is one of the most experienced players at Lady Dolphins and similarly like Brenda Ekone has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Tracy Namugosa (170-G-2000) of league's second-best KCCA Leopards. Namugosa got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. She was a key player of KCCA Leopards, leading her team to a 66-44 easy win against the lower-ranked Tomahawks (#6, 4-4). KCCA Leopards needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Namugosa has a great season in Uganda. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (best scorer). She also has 3.4spg and a FGP of 58.4%.
