Jongroor number one in Uganda NBL for round 13

Alier Jongroor put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for UCU Canons Kampala, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The player was the main contributor (12 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Victoria Crocs (#3, 5-3) 70-62. UCU Canons is placed at 6th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. UCU Canons will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. It's Jongroor's second year at UCU Canons and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Alier Jongroor averages this season 9.0ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Mark Ngobi of Victoria Crocs. Ngobi had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Victoria Crocs lost that game 62-70 to the lower-ranked UCU Canons (#6, 3-1). Victoria Crocs managed to keep the same 3rd spot in the standings. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Ngobi is one of the most experienced players at Victoria Crocs and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.1ppg (#2). He also registered 5.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Joshua Duallo (1998) of UMU Flames (#12). Duallo scored 11 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Duallo's great performance the UMU lost 49-53 to the higher-ranked JKL Dolphins (#9, 2-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Duallo has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.8rpg (3rd best).

8. Fayed Baale (173-PG-2001) of City Oilers - 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Elvis Bwanka (C) of JKL Dolphins - 3 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Kenneth Mesho) of JKL Dolphins - 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
