The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lady Canons as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lady Canons defeated 7th ranked Peal Queens in Kampala 57-40. Lady Canons held Peal Queens to an opponent 18.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Peal Queens 49-37 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Matrina Anyango who led her team to a victory with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Shillah Lamunu contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Nigerian Iriele Jane Chisom (-2000) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Peal Queens. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lady Canons (6-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Peal Queens dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Peal Queens will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Lady Canons will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Miracle. It will be extra interesting game as Miracle is their local rival from Kampala.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Lady Jaguars (#4) and Tomahawks (#5). Tomahawks were smashed at home by 25 points 48-73 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tomahawks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mercy Batamuliza who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and Rhoda Nagitta who added 8 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) with 17 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lady Jaguars have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Tomahawks at the other side keep the fifth position with three games lost. Lady Jaguars' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena KCCA Leopards.
The game in Kampala was also quite interesting. 6th ranked She Crocs (4-4) played at the court of eighth ranked KIU Rangers (3-3). KIU Rangers managed to secure a 4-point victory 64-60 on Wednesday. The winners were led by Ines Kanyamunza who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals by Bisoboka Naluyima did not help to save the game for She Crocs. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KIU Rangers moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted She Crocs keep the sixth position with four games lost. KIU Rangers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Miracle.

In the last game of round 12 KCCA Leopards smashed Miracle on the road 75-44.
