Mercy Batamuliza gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL (by Hoops Agents)

Mercy Batamuliza (F) had an amazing evening in the last round for JT Lady Jaguars and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The forward had a double-double of 14 points and 31 rebounds, while her team outclassed KIU Rangers (#8, 3-3) with 33-point margin 80-47. Lady Jaguars is placed at 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Lady Jaguars would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. It's Batamuliza's second year at Lady Jaguars and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Batamuliza has impressive league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 14.7rpg. Batamuliza is in league's top in and averages solid 2.7spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international guard Brenda Ekone (152-G-1996) of Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins. Ekone impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Lady Dolphins cruised to a 78-69 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Nabisunsa (#11, 1-5). Lady Dolphins' 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Ekone is one of the most experienced players at Lady Dolphins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#2). She also registered 5.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Auma Joy of Nabisunsa Girls (#11). Joy showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Joy's great performance the Nabisunsa lost 69-78 to the higher-ranked Lady Dolphins (#4, 4-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Nabisunsa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Joy has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.2ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 11.0rpg (4th best) and assists with 4.0apg (5th best). She also has 2.8spg and 1.8bpg.
