Cheng number one in Uganda NBL for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Peter Cheng (F) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sommet BC, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The player had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat UPDF (#12, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 73-62. Sommet maintains the 5th position in Ugandan NBL. Sommet is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Cheng had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sommet's top player in his first season with the team. Peter Cheng averages this season 12.4ppg and 8.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Sommet's star - young Joseph Chuma (F-1991). Chuma had a very good evening with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Sommet BC cruised to a 73-62 relatively comfortable win over UPDF (#12, 0-5). Sommet's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Chuma is one of the most experienced players at Sommet and similarly like Peter Cheng has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Sommet's star - Mali Diaw Karabana (2003). Karabana scored 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was another key player of Sommet BC, helping his team with a 73-62 win against UPDF (#12, 0-5). Sommet needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Karabana has a very solid season. In 5 games in Uganda he scored 6.0ppg.
