NBL top team - Lady Canons (5-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked She Crocs (3-3) in Kampala 69-40. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of She Crocs. Lady Canons held She Crocs to an opponent 18.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Lady Canons forced 20 She Crocs turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by She Crocs helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Mariam Namukwaya (-2005) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and Matrina Anyango chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Thelma Toskin (-2002) with 10 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lady Canons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Newly promoted She Crocs keep the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Peal Queens.
