City Oilers add Kayira to their roster

City Oilers Kampala (NBL) added 24-year-old international center Joel Kayira (208cm-2001) to their roster for the new 2026 season. He played last summer at UCU Canons and has been with them for the past three years. Kayira helped UCU Canons reach the semifinals and had an impressive season, earning the title of Afrobasket.com All-Ugandan League Center of the Year. He was also selected for the All-Defensive Team and All-Domestic Players Team. Since 2024, he has been a regular member of the Ugandan Senior National Team.
