Blazers forced 24 UCU Canons turnovers. DR Congolese Joel Lukoji (-2001) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international James Okello (193-1990) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. International center Joel Kayira (208-2001) responded with 8 points and 15 rebounds and Ekirapa Zachariah scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

City Oilers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sommet's 30. Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. Central African guard Kurt-Curry Wegscheider (196-2001, college: LCU) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. DR Congolese forward Franck Nyembo (200-2006) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kasereka Tembo added 23 points and 5 assists in the effort for Sommet. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
