Canadian Guard Chad Bowie (188-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for City Oilers Kampala, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (16 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Jaguars (14-10) 77-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. City Oilers is placed at 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. City Oilers will need more victories to improve their 14-10 record. Bowie turned to be City Oilers' top player in his first season with the team. Chad Bowie averages just after two games 12.0ppg and 5.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Joel Kayira (208-C-2001) of UCU Canons Kampala. Kayira had a very good evening with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led UCU Canons to another comfortable win outscoring Kampala R. (14-10) 79-52. This victory allowed UCU Canons to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 14-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kayira is one of the most experienced players at UCU Canons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of JT Jaguars BC (#4). Sifuma scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Sifuma's great performance the Jaguars lost 62-77 to #3 ranked City Oilers. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Jaguars needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 14 victories and 10 lost games. Sifuma has a great season in Uganda. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 11.7ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (#1 in league).
