Alicante lands Deng Geu

Deng Geu

HLA Alicante (Primera FEB) signed 28-year-old American (who also holds a Ugandan passport) 203cm power forward Deng Geu (college: N.Texas) for the upcoming season. He last played for Les Sables in the French NM1 league, where he averaged 10.2ppg and 5.2rpg in 16 games last season, helping them reach the semifinals. Geu has been a regular member of the Ugandan Senior National Team since 2018.
He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Denmark (Horsens IC), Germany (Rasta Vechta), Portugal (Lusitania), NBA G League (Texas Legends), and The Basketball Tournament (Bleed Green).
He played in the final of French NM1 Play-Offs in 2024, among many awards. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Honorable Mention in 2024.
Geu graduated from the University of North Texas in 2020 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. He played also for North Dakota State University for 4 years.
