Egypt - Uganda 77-64

Egypt claimed a 77-64 victory over Uganda after a closely contested first half turned into a strong second-half performance. Uganda edged the opening quarter 18-17, but Egypt responded well in the second, taking a narrow 34-33 lead into halftime. After the break, Egypt raised their intensity, dominating the third quarter 21-12 to build a decisive cushion. In the final period, Egypt maintained their momentum with 22 points, keeping Uganda at arm’s length despite their late push. The 13-point win was secured through Egypt’s improved defense and efficient scoring in the second half, while Uganda’s early competitiveness faded as the game progressed.
Amr Abdelhalim led the winners with 17 points and Patrick Gardner (211-C-1999, college: Marist) poured in 15. Deng Geu (203-PF-1997, college: N.Texas) replied with 22 points in a loss and Robinson Opong (190-G/F-1989, college: Rogers St.) produced 14.
