The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: Lady Tomahawks (#7) and KIU Rangers (#5). KIU Rangers were defeated at home 55-63 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Lady Tomahawks held KIU Rangers to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded KIU Rangers 63-36 including a 46-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 22 rebounds for the winners. Center Atulinda Moureen (-1989) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Serah Yaweh produced 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lady Tomahawks maintains seventh position with 7-8 record. KIU Rangers at the other side keep the fifth place with nine games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: KCCA Leopards (#3) and Magic S. (#8). KCCA Leopards (13-2) smashed visiting Magic S. (6-10) by 16 points 66-50. Worth to mention a great performance of Margaret Bagaala who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals. Tracy Namugosa contributed with 18 points for the winners. Guard Christine Nakito replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for Magic S.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KCCA Leopards have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-2 record having five points less than leader JKL Dolphins. Magic S. at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost.
