Ninth-ranked Nabisunsa (3-9) gave a tough game to first ranked KCCA Leopards (10-2) in Kampala on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only two-point victory 64-62. However their fans expected much easier game. KCCA Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Nabisunsa's 28. KCCA Leopards forced 34 Nabisunsa turnovers and had a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. KCCA Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Margaret Bagaala stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Burundian guard Ninette Uwineza (-1988) chipped in 0 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists and 11 steals. Martha Yikiru responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory KCCA Leopards went down to fourth position due to points difference. Nabisunsa at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. KCCA Leopards' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Lady Tomahawks.

Lady Tomahawks were crushed at home by 26 points 65-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Shadia Nassanga nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Angella Lokwameri accounted for 10 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for Lady Tomahawks in the defeat. Lady Tomahawks' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. JKL Dolphins have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion (12-3) keeps a position of league leader. Lady Tomahawks at the other side keep the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Magic S.. JKL Dolphins' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Angels.
Bottom-ranked Nkumba LM (0-14) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to tenth ranked Angels (2-11) 43-32 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Ritah Komugisa who scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Precious Apio produced 10 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Angels maintains tenth place with 2-11 record. Nkumba LM at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Angels' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.

In the last game of round 17 KIU Rangers won against Angels on the opponent's court 56-45.

Very expected game in Kampala where 10th ranked Angels (2-11) were defeated by fifth ranked KIU Rangers (8-7) 56-45 on Saturday. KIU Rangers forced 28 Angels turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Sharon Kirabo (170-1996) who scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. Elizabeth Akol (-1993) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Caroline Nakato (-1999) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Martha Likicho (-2001) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Angels' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. KIU Rangers maintains fifth place with 8-7 record. Angels lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 11 games lost.
