Power forward Puati Kikomba (F/C) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kampala Rockets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The player had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Rezlife S. (#9, 7-9) with 18-point margin 73-55. Kampala R. maintains the 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kampala R. will need more victories to improve their 10-7 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Kikomba as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Puati Kikomba has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.1rpg) and averages impressive 2.1bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young DR Congolese Franck Nyembo (2006) of Sommet BC. Nyembo had a very good evening with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Sommet to edge the lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#10, 7-10) 68-64. This victory allowed Sommet to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Nyembo is one of the most experienced players at Sommet and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of JT Jaguars BC (#6). Sifuma scored 19 points and grabbed 26 rebounds (!!!). Despite Sifuma's great performance the Jaguars lost 66-74 to slightly lower-ranked Victoria C. (#7, 8-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Jaguars needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 8 lost games. Sifuma has a great season in Uganda. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.5ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 12.6rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. David Garang Mayom (201-PF-2000) of Victoria C. - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Noel Yamodo) of JKL Dolphins - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Peter Cheng (F) of Sommet - 13 points and 9 rebounds
7. Ronald Ayume) of Victoria C. - 13 points and 3 rebounds
8. Brian Opio) of Kampala R. - 17 points and 2 assists
9. Chuol Nyuot) of Victoria C. - 16 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Ian Lubwama) of Jaguars - 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
