Nyembo's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

18-year old DR Congolese Franck Nyembo (2006) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sommet BC and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out City Oilers (#7, 7-7) 90-87. Sommet maintains the 6th position in Ugandan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sommet will need more victories to improve their 9-7 record. In the team's last game Nyembo had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sommet, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Franck Nyembo averages this season 22.8ppg and 11.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was P Akuk of KIU Titans Kampala. He is a in his first season at KIU Titans. In the last game Akuk recorded an impressive double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as KIU Titans lost that game 63-84 to league's leader Blazers (#1, 16-0). KIU Titans is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories KIU Titans managed to get this year. Akuk is one of the most experienced players at KIU Titans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Moses Mugisha (C/F-1984) of league's leader Namuwongo Blazers. Mugisha showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Blazers, leading his team to a 84-63 easy win against the lower-ranked KIU Titans (#11, 2-14). Blazers have amazing season winning all 16 games without a single defeat. Mugisha turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Mugisha has a very solid season. In 15 games in Uganda he scored 10.4ppg. He also has 5.9rpg and a FGP of 55.9%.
