Peter Cheng gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL (by Hoops Agents)

Peter Cheng (F) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sommet BC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The forward had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Kampala R. (#4, 9-6) 85-81. Sommet maintains the 6th position in Ugandan NBL. Sommet is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-7 record. In the team's last game Cheng had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Sommet, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Peter Cheng averages just after three games 21.3ppg and 11.7rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Edgar Munaba (196-F-1999) of City Oilers Kampala. Munaba impressed basketball fans with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Of course he led City Oilers to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked UCU Canons (#5, 9-7) 85-54. This victory allowed City Oilers to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Munaba is one of the most experienced players at City Oilers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.4ppg (#7). He also registered 7.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Puati Kikomba (F/C) of Kampala Rockets (#4). Kikomba scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). Despite Kikomba's great performance the Kampala R. lost 81-85 to slightly lower-ranked Sommet (#6, 8-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Kampala R. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 6 lost games. Kikomba has a great season in Uganda. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.2rpg (3rd best).
