The most exciting game of round 19 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked Victoria C. It was a great evening for international center Joel Kayira (208-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 8 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Jimmy Otim (-1999) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Chuol Nyuot responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. UCU Canons maintains fifth place with 8-5 record. Newly promoted Victoria C. keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Ivan Lumanyika (205-1992) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Emmanuel Odongkara accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds. DR Congolese Franck Nyembo (-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for Sommet in the defeat. KCCA P. maintains fourth place with 9-6 record. Newly promoted Sommet keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Blazers have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Newly promoted Victoria C. keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
