Tracy Namugosa (G) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader KCCA Leopards and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The guard had the game-high 36 points adding four rebounds for KCCA Leopards in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Nkumba LM (#12, 0-12) with 26-point margin 84-58. It allowed KCCA Leopards to jump to the first place in the Ugandan NBL. KCCA Leopards has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Namugosa had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She just recently signed at KCCA Leopards, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Namugosa has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.6ppg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 60.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Ssegendo Hazel of Nkumba Lady Marines. Hazel impressed basketball fans with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Nkumba LM lost that game 58-84 to the higher-ranked KCCA Leopards (#1, 9-1). Nkumba LM are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Hazel is one of the most experienced players at Nkumba LM and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was DR Congolese Esther Mpongo (2006) of Miracle Ravens (#7). Mpongo scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Mpongo's great performance the Miracle lost 73-76 to KIU Rangers (5-6). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Miracle ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Mpongo could help Miracle to bring them higher in the standings. Mpongo has a very solid season. In 4 games in Uganda she scored 10.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sharon Kirabo (170-F-1996) of KIU Rangers - 23 points and 12 rebounds
5. Sarah Ageno (176-F-1996) of JTL Jaguars - 18 points and 8 rebounds
6. Ninette Uwineza (G-1988) of KCCA Leopards - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists

10. Susan Aanyu (G-1992) of KCCA Leopards - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
