Power forward Puati Kikomba (F/C) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Kampala Rockets and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 13 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out KCCA P. (#4, 8-5) 78-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kampala R. is placed at 2nd position in Ugandan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kampala R. will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Kikomba as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Kikomba has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 12.1rpg) and averages solid 2.1bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of JT Jaguars BC. He is a center in his first season at Jaguars. In the last game Sifuma recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Jaguars to another comfortable win 79-62 over slightly lower-ranked KCCA P. (#4, 8-5) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Jaguars consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 8-4 record is not bad at all. Sifuma is one of the most experienced players at Jaguars and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.5ppg (#7). He also registered 11.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Noel Yamodo of JKL Dolphins Kampala (#10). Yamodo scored 14 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of JKL Dolphins, leading his team to a 76-64 win against slightly lower-ranked Livingstone (#12, 1-12). The chances of JKL Dolphins ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Yamodo could help JKL Dolphins to bring them higher in the standings. Yamodo has a very solid season. In 8 games in Uganda he scored 11.5ppg. He also has 2.3spg and a FGP of 58.2%.
