Puati Kikomba gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL (by Hoops Agents)

Puati Kikomba (F/C) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kampala Rockets and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The power forward had a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed KIU Titans (#12, 1-12) with 26-point margin 76-50. Kampala R. maintains the 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kampala R. will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Kikomba as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Kikomba has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 1.8bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Ambrose Olum of KIU Titans Kampala. Olum impressed basketball fans with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led KIU Titans to another comfortable win 86-67 over slightly higher-ranked Livingstone (#11, 1-11) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. KIU Titans is still at the dead bottom 12th position. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory KIU Titans managed to get this year. Olum is one of the most experienced players at KIU Titans and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another KIU Titans' star - William Saverino. Saverino scored 19 points. He was another key player of KIU Titans Kampala, helping his team with a 86-67 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Livingstone (#11, 1-11). KIU Titans can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Saverino has a very solid season. In 11 games in Uganda he scored 8.2ppg.
