Ornela Sekuye gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL

Ornela Sekuye put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Magic Stormers Kampala and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The had a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat KIU Rangers (#7, 3-3) 72-63. Magic S. is placed at 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Magic S. will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Sekuye just recently signed at Magic S., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ornela Sekuye averages just after three games 9.7ppg and 7.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Angella Lokwameri of second-ranked Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins. Lokwameri impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she led JKL Dolphins to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Miracle (#5, 4-4) 79-53. JKL Dolphins' second position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Lokwameri is one of the most experienced players at JKL Dolphins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Sarah Ageno (176-F-1996) of top-ranked JT Lady Jaguars. Ageno scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of JTL Jaguars, leading her team to a 79-51 easy win against the lower-ranked Miracle (#5, 4-4). JTL Jaguars confirms their top position in the standings. Ageno has a great season in Uganda. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (4th best).

7. Christine Nakito (G) of Magic S. - 7 points, 19 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Evelyn Nakiyinji) of JKL Dolphins - 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Mercy Batamuliza (F) of JTL Jaguars - 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Christine Namyalo (2006) of Lady Tomahawks - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
