The most exciting game of round 14 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked City Oilers (5-5) to fourth ranked Kampala R. (7-4) 53-50 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of City Oilers. Mpiya Juf orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Puati Kikomba contributed with 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Edgar Munaba (196-1999) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for City Oilers. Kampala R. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-4 record. Defending champion City Oilers dropped to the sixth place with five games lost.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Jaguars (7-3) against tenth ranked Sommet (4-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Jaguars were defeated by Sommet in a tough game in Kampala 62-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Jaguars. Richard Mutawulu scored 21 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mark Ngobi chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Center Peter Sifuma (-1996) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Sommet moved-up to ninth place, which they share with JKL Dolphins. Jaguars at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost.

KIU Titans - KCCA P. 61-70

Bottom-ranked KIU Titans is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to third ranked KCCA P. (8-3) 70-61 on Sunday evening. KCCA P. outrebounded KIU Titans 52-35 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Davis Assimwe notched 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Emmanuel Odongkara (-1989) supported him with 8 points and 14 rebounds. KCCA P.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by Bang Desmasiro did not help to save the game for KIU Titans. Charles Isabu added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts.
