Juf number one in Uganda NBL for round 11 (by Hoops Agents)

Mpiya Juf had an amazing evening in the last round for Kampala Rockets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The player had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat JKL Dolphins (#9, 4-6) 70-61. Kampala R. is placed at 7th position in Ugandan NBL. Kampala R. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. Juf just recently signed at Kampala R., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mpiya Juf averages this season 10.4ppg and 6.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young DR Congolese Joel Lukoji (2001) of league's leader Namuwongo Blazers. Lukoji had a very good evening with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Blazers cruised to a 82-72 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked UCU Canons (#4, 5-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Blazers consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. He plays for the best team in the league and Blazers managed to win all 11 games keeping a perfect record. Lukoji is one of the most experienced players at Blazers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Kampala R.'s star - forward Puati Kikomba (F/C). Kikomba scored 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Kampala Rockets, helping his team with a 70-61 win against slightly lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#9, 4-6). Kampala R. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Kikomba has a great season in Uganda. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (7th best).
