Peter Sifuma (C-1996) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best JT Jaguars BC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 15 points and 22 rebounds, while his team beat KCCA P. (#3, 5-2) 83-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Jaguars is placed at 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Jaguars will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. Sifuma just recently signed at Jaguars, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Sifuma has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 13.3ppg) and rebounds (3rd best: 12.0rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was John Teko of Sommet BC. Teko impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Sommet cruised to a 67-60 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Victoria C. (#6, 4-3). Despite this victory Sommet slide down in the standings to 10th position. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Sommet managed to get this year. Teko is one of the most experienced players at Sommet and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Jaguars' star - Ian Lubwama. Lubwama scored 23 points and passed 4 assists. He was another key player of JT Jaguars BC, helping his team with a 83-70 easy win against #3 ranked KCCA P. in a game of the week. Jaguars needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Lubwama has a great season in Uganda. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.9apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kevin Moru (F) of Jaguars - 27 points and 6 rebounds
5. Marvin Okurut) of UCU Canons - 21 points and 2 rebounds
6. Davis Assimwe (G) of KCCA P. - 29 points and 2 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
