Evelyn Nakiyinji gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL (by Hoops Agents)

Evelyn Nakiyinji had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Nkumba LM (#12, 0-7) with 26-point margin 76-50. JKL Dolphins is placed at 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. JKL Dolphins will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Nakiyinji had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's her second year at JKL Dolphins and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Nakiyinji has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in assists (9th best: 3.5apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Akello Winnifred (G-2001) of Miracle Ravens. Winnifred impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Miracle lost that game 48-53 to slightly higher-ranked KIU Rangers (3-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Miracle still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Winnifred is one of the most experienced players at Miracle and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#5). She also registered 15.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Sarah Ageno (176-F-1996) of top-ranked JT Lady Jaguars. Ageno scored 16 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of JTL Jaguars, leading her team to a 81-38 easy win against Nkumba LM (#12, 0-7). JTL Jaguars started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Ageno turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Ageno has a great season in Uganda. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (4th best).
