Mugisha number one in Uganda NBL for round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

Moses Mugisha (C/F-1984) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Namuwongo Blazers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 40-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team KIU Titans (#12, 0-3) with 56-point margin 126-70. It allowed Blazers to consolidate first place in the Ugandan NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Blazers already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mugisha had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Blazers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Moses Mugisha has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (5th best: 3.0apg).

The second best player in last round's games was Stanley Mugerwa of league's second-best KCCA Panthers. Mugerwa had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for KCCA P. to edge the lower-ranked UCU Canons (#8, 1-2) 73-69. This victory allowed KCCA P. to move up to second position in the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Mugerwa is one of the most experienced players at KCCA P. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.0ppg (#9). He also registered 11.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Blazers' star - Arthur Wanyoto. Wanyoto scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Namuwongo Blazers, helping his team with a 126-70 easy win against KIU Titans (#12, 0-3). Blazers started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Wanyoto turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Wanyoto has a very solid season. In 5 games in Uganda he scored 7.0ppg.
