Namukwaya number one in Uganda NBL for round 4

Mariam Namukwaya (2005) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Miracle Ravens, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 19-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, seven rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Nkumba LM (#12, 0-5) with 47-point margin 101-54. Miracle is placed at 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Miracle will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Namukwaya had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It's her second year at Miracle and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Mariam Namukwaya has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.0ppg. Namukwaya is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.0spg and 57.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Miracle's star - young Akello Winnifred (G-2001). Winnifred had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 21 rebounds. Of course together with Namukwaya she helped Miracle Ravens with another comfortable win outscoring Nkumba LM (#12, 0-5) 101-54. This victory allowed Miracle to move up to second position in the standings. Her team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Winnifred is one of the most experienced players at Miracle and similarly like Mariam Namukwaya has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#5). Her other stats are also decent: 15.5rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Daphine Adong (F) of Magic Stormers Kampala (#5). Adong scored 24 points and passed 7 assists. She was a key player of Magic S., leading her team to a 92-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Nabisunsa (#9, 1-2). Magic S. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Adong has a great season in Uganda. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (7th best).
