Acinbaai Apugi gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL (by Hoops Agents)

Acinbaai Apugi put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Rezlife Saints and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The had a double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Victoria C. (#8, 1-2) 63-57. Rezlife S. is placed at 4th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Rezlife S. will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. It's Apugi's second year at Rezlife S. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Apugi has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 13.6ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.0rpg) and averages solid 2.4spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international power forward James Okello (193-PF-1990) of league's best team Namuwongo Blazers. Okello impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Blazers to another comfortable win outscoring Jaguars (3-1) 83-57. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Okello is one of the most experienced players at Blazers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Blazers' star - international guard Jimmy Enabu (187-PG-1988). Enabu scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was another key player of Namuwongo Blazers, helping his team with a 83-57 easy win against #3 ranked Jaguars in a game of the week. Blazers started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Enabu turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Enabu has a very solid season. In 4 games in Uganda he scored 12.8ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
