The best player for the winners was Sudanese center Titus Lual (201-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Fayed Baale (173-2001) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Five City Oilers players scored in double figures. Mpiya Juf produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Peter Obleng (190-2003) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests.

UCU Canons forced 19 Blazers turnovers and outrebounded them 52-41 including 38 on the defensive glass. Center Peter Sifuma (-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 8 rebounds. Alier Jongroor contributed with 6 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Rwandan center Micheal Makiadi (-1989) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Arthur Wanyoto added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Blazers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
