Geu re-signs at Saint Vallier

Deng Geu

Saint Vallier Basket Drome (NM1) has confirmed the return of 27-year-old American power forward Deng Geu for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Deng, who also holds a Ugandan passport, played for the team last season and averaged 11.9ppg and 5.5rpg in 46 NM1 games. He was instrumental in helping the team reach the French NM1 Play-Offs final. In the 2023-24 season, Deng was named to the Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Honorable Mention team. Prior to his time in France, Deng played for Lusitania in the Portuguese league during the 2022-23 season. He has also been a regular member of the Ugandan Senior National Team since 2018. Jazzmarr Ferguson from the USA is the other foreign player on the team's roster.
Geu is a quite experienced player. He has played professionally in Denmark (Horsens IC), Germany (Rasta Vechta), Portugal, and NBA G League (Texas Legends).
In addition to winning C-USA Regular Season in 2020, Geu's team also won many awards. He was voted South Dakota's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2015 during high school.
He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2020, and it will be his fifth season as a professional player. Geu also played for North Dakota State University for 4 years.
