Aber's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

Bridget Aber

23-year old Bridget Aber (2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked UCU Lady Canons and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
She had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat KIU Rangers (18-4) 69-63. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. UCU Ladies maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. UCU Ladies would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 18-4 record. Aber has many years of experience at UCU Ladies, through which she has constantly improved. Bridget Aber averages this season 7.8ppg and 8.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Lilian Cherotich (F) of Miracle Ravens. She is a forward in her first season at Miracle. In the last game Cherotich recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds. Of course she led Miracle to another comfortable win outscoring Kampala Uni (#12, 0-22) 96-49. This victory allowed Miracle to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-11 record is not bad and everything may still change. Cherotich is one of the most experienced players at Miracle and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Kur Ajah of Magic Stormers Kampala (#7). Ajah scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Ajah's great performance the Magic Stormers lost 58-59 to the lower-ranked Nabisunsa (#11, 4-18). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Magic Stormers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Ajah could help Magic Stormers to bring them higher in the standings. Ajah has a very solid season. In 22 games in Uganda she scored 13.0ppg. She also has 7.1rpg and 1.0bpg.
