Juf's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Mpiya Juf had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked KIU Titans Kampala and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
He had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Kampala R. (#9, 8-14) 64-61. KIU Titans maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KIU Titans will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. Juf has many years of experience at KIU Titans, through which he has constantly improved. Mpiya Juf averages this season 9.3ppg and 7.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Puati Kikomba of Kampala Rockets. He is a in his first season at Kampala R.. In the last game Kikomba recorded an impressive 19 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Kampala R. was edged by the higher-ranked KIU Titans (#2, 17-5) 64-61. This loss caused Kampala R. to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-14 record. Kikomba is one of the most experienced players at Kampala R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.2ppg (#5). He also registered 13.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Bolton Rujumba of Ndejje University Angels (#12). Rujumba scored 12 points and grabbed 21 rebounds (!!!). Despite Rujumba's great performance the Ndejje Angels lost 49-73 to the higher-ranked UCU Canons (#5, 12-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Ndejje Angels can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-19 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Rujumba he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Rujumba has a very solid season. In 22 games in Uganda he scored 8.2ppg.
