Wanyoto number one in Uganda NBL for round 24 (by Hoops Agents)

Arthur Wanyoto had a great game in the last round for Namuwongo Blazers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The player had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat JKL Dolphins (#10, 6-14) 81-76. Blazers maintains the 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Blazers will need more victories to improve their 16-5 record. In the team's last game Wanyoto had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Blazers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Arthur Wanyoto averages this season 4.8ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Moses Mugisha (C/F-1984) of Our Saviour Kampala. Mugisha had a very good evening with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Our Saviour to edge the lower-ranked Power (#11, 6-15) 81-77. This victory allowed Our Saviour to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-11 record. Mugisha is one of the most experienced players at Our Saviour and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Clinton Omondi of Betway Power BC (#11). Omondi scored 10 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Omondi's great performance the Power lost 77-81 to the higher-ranked Our Saviour (#6, 10-11). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Power can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-15 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Omondi has individually a great season in Uganda. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.9rpg (3rd best).
