Kanyamunza number one in Uganda NBL for round 20

Guard Ines Kanyamunza (G) had a very impressive game in the last round for KIU Rangers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The player was the main contributor (30 points, six rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Nabisunsa (#11, 2-17) with 65-point margin 100-35. KIU Rangers maintains the 5th position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. KIU Rangers would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-3 record. In the team's last game Kanyamunza had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She has many years of experience at KIU Rangers, through which she has constantly improved. Ines Kanyamunza has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.5ppg) and averages impressive 56.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Stella Lunkuse (G-1998) of UPDF Lady Tomahawks. Lunkuse had a very good evening with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Lady Tomahawks to another comfortable win outscoring Kampala Uni (#12, 0-19) 70-25. Lady Tomahawks' 8th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Lunkuse is one of the most experienced players at Lady Tomahawks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Sarah Ageno (176-F-1996) of JT Lady Jaguars (#4). Ageno scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of JTL Jaguars, leading her team to a 109-29 easy win against Kampala Uni (#12, 0-19). JTL Jaguars needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 7 lost games. Ageno has a great season in Uganda. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.1rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.1apg (8th best).
