The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: City Oilers (#1) and Blazers (#3). City Oilers (17-1) won against visiting Blazers (16-5) 67-58. City Oilers forced 19 Blazers turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of center Maker Mer who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and Sudanese center Titus Lual (201-1998) who added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Ochera Innocent (-1997) with 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. City Oilers have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-1 record. Blazers at the other side keep the third place with five games lost. City Oilers are looking forward to face Livingstone (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blazers' supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Kampala R..
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: KIU Titans (#2) and KCCA P. (#4). KIU Titans (16-3) won against visiting KCCA P. (12-9) 79-68. The winners were led by Kasereka Tembo who scored that evening 29 points and Edgar Munaba supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by forward Caesar Kizito (-1988) did not help to save the game for KCCA P.. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KIU Titans have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-3 record behind leader City Oilers. KCCA P. at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. KIU Titans' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala JKL Dolphins.

City Oilers' coach Karim Nesba felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Christian Ndibu who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. City Oilers have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-1 record. Loser Kampala R. keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Livingstone. City Oilers will meet Livingstone (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. There were no shocking results in the other games in round 24: bottom-ranked Ndejje Angels were destroyed by KCCA P. on the opponent's court 90-64. Livingstone managed to outperform UCU Canons in a home game 57-45. Power recorded a loss to Our Saviour on the road 81-77. JKL Dolphins were defeated by Blazers on its own court 76-81.




KCCA P. - Ndejje Angels 90-64

Very expected game in Kampala where 12th ranked Ndejje Angels (3-17) were crushed by fourth ranked KCCA P. (12-9) 90-64 on Wednesday. KCCA P. forced 20 Ndejje Angels turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ndejje Angels' players. The best player for the winners was center Rin Tueny Mabor (-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Stephen Otoa chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four KCCA P. players scored in double figures. KCCA P.'s coach felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Benon Wobusobozi who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Haron Alinaitwe added 19 points and 4 steals respectively. There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Livingstone (7-13) defeated at home higher ranked UCU Canons (11-9) 57-45 on Saturday. Livingstone forced 32 UCU Canons turnovers. The best player for the winners was Amara Ariho who scored 17 points. Bruce Okullo chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Norbert Okidi who recorded 15 points and Kevin Kasobya (180-2001) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Livingstone moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Kampala R. Loser UCU Canons keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Livingstone will meet at home league's leader City Oilers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Not a big story in a game in Kampala where 11th ranked Power (6-15) was defeated by seventh ranked Our Saviour (10-11) 81-77 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was Henry Ssebagala who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Our Saviour players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) who recorded 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Clinton Omondi added 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively.
