Simon's 19 points and 6 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Ola Simon put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Kampala Rockets and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
He had the game-high 19 points adding six rebounds for Kampala R. in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Jaguars (#6, 10-10) 59-56. Kampala R. maintains the 8th position in Ugandan league. Kampala R. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-12 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Simon as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Ola Simon averages this season 10.4ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Puati Kikomba. He is a in his first season at Kampala R.. In the last game Kikomba recorded an impressive double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Kampala Rockets to edge slightly higher-ranked Jaguars (#6, 10-10) by 3 points 59-56. Kampala R.'s 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-12 record. Kikomba is one of the most experienced players at Kampala R. and similarly like Ola Simon has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.9ppg (#8). He also registered 14.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Moses Mugisha (C/F-1984) of Our Saviour Kampala (#7). Mugisha showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Mugisha's great performance the Our Saviour lost 58-64 to slightly higher-ranked UCU Canons (#5, 11-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Our Saviour ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mugisha could help Our Saviour to bring them higher in the standings. Mugisha has a very solid season. In 20 games in Uganda he scored 12.0ppg. He also has 7.9rpg, 2.2spg and 1.1bpg.
