Nalunkuma's 36-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

33-year old guard Leanne Nalunkuma (G-1990) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked KCCA Leopards and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
She had the game-high 36 points adding nine rebounds for KCCA Leopards in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Kampala Uni (#12, 0-17) with 65-point margin 96-31. KCCA Leopards is placed at 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KCCA Leopards will need more victories to improve their 14-4 record. In the team's last game Nalunkuma had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. She has many years of experience at KCCA Leopards, through which she has constantly improved. Leanne Nalunkuma averages this season 10.4ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Mary Amaniyo (180-PF-2003) of KIU Rangers. She is a forward in her first (recently joined) season at KIU Rangers. In the last game Amaniyo recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for KIU Rangers to edge slightly lower-ranked Miracle (#7, 10-10) by 6 points 66-60. KIU Rangers' 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just three games this season, while they won 13 matches. Amaniyo is one of the most experienced players at KIU Rangers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.1ppg (#8). She also registered 11.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another KCCA Leopards' star - Peter Nadir. Nadir scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of KCCA Leopards, helping her team with a 96-31 easy win against Kampala Uni (#12, 0-17). KCCA Leopards needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 4 lost games. Nadir has a very solid season. In 3 games in Uganda she scored 6.7ppg.
