The most exciting game of round 19 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher ranked UCU Ladies (14-4) to fifth ranked JTL Jaguars (14-7) 58-56 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of UCU Ladies. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Sarah Ageno (176-1996) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Mercy Batamuliza contributed with 0 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Guard Tracy Namugosa answered with 10 points and 5 rebounds for UCU Ladies. UCU Ladies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JTL Jaguars moved-up to fourth place. UCU Ladies at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. It was a great evening for center Atulinda Moureen (-1989) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Kur Ajah helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Mary Amaniyo who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Akello Winnifred came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Miracle in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KIU Rangers maintains fifth place with 13-3 record. Loser Miracle keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Winless Kampala Uni was smashed by KCCA Leopards on the road 96-31. A1 Challenge lost to defending champion JKL Dolphins on its own court 44-74. Lady Tomahawks were outscored by JKL Dolphins in Kampala 48-82. UCU Ladies rolled over Nabisunsa at home 64-39.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 12 points and 18 rebounds by Martina Anyango of UCU Ladies.
