Joseph Chuma gets MVP of the Week award for Ugandan NBL

Experienced Joseph Chuma (F-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Namuwongo Blazers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 32-year old forward had the game-high 33 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Blazers in his team's victory, helping them to crush UCU Canons (#5, 10-7) with 16-point margin 109-93. It allowed Blazers to consolidate first place in the Ugandan NBL. Blazers have a solid 15-3 record. In the team's last game Chuma had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Blazers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Chuma has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 13.4ppg), rebounds (9th best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 44.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was George Agasi of JT Jaguars BC. Agasi impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Jaguars lost that game 56-82 to the higher-ranked KIU Titans (#2, 14-3). Jaguars managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Agasi is one of the most experienced players at Jaguars and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Blazers' star - American Jimmy Williams (196-G-1986). Williams showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Namuwongo Blazers, helping his team with a 109-93 easy win against the lower-ranked UCU Canons (#5, 10-7). Blazers confirms their top position in the standings. Williams has a very solid season. In 2 games in Uganda he scored 21.0ppg. Williams attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
